Hi Echo, I own a black masked lovebird - is that what you were interested in? I posted a video of her bathing on one of my threads if you want to check it out. I have to go out for a while but will post when I get back. Im not an expert but can tell you what I have experienced with Rosie and the other black masked I owned a couple of years ago.
Oh lol - havent owned a black cheeked lovebird, good luck with your research. Lovebirds are lovely pets to own and if given the attention needed become wonderful fids
I'd have to say every type of "Lovebird" is just about the same.... Each bird has it's own personality so we can't tell you how our bird is and expect yours to be the same. All lovebirds I have every interacted with are very loving they are fun and playful silly little birds. They can learn to talk.... my peach faced gave kisses and made the sound... They are lovely birds! They need interaction daily as any other bird. IF you do not give them interaction they can get nippy "as ANY bird can"! They are easy keepers and escape artistes! Funny little birds they are! Below is Kix being silly in his swing!

I have had several, and I adore them. I find them to be highly inquisitive and friendly. I found this thread because I was searching to get another one.
We have a single lovebird within a flock. He's caged independently and hand reared. I think he enjoys the company especially of the bigger boys, but he's also very attached to our daughter - who's put in all the time training him. My MIL has a pair from the same breeder, also hand reared. They're very much attached to one another instead, but will jump on a hand for a ride to the play gym together.
