Bitey Senegal

I have a 1 year old Senegal Parrot who seems a little too bitey,
i've considered the bluffing phase but i would love to hear some experiences.

He bites when he comes out of the cage, could be from excitement but he would fly to my shoulder and bite the back of my neck randomly.
He would also bite when he is happily pperch on my fingers for no apparent reason and if i ignore, he would gnaw harder and HARDER.

i've tried ignoring, which he would bite harder,
i've tried screaming and walking out of the room for 5 mins,
i've tried shaking my hand knockng him off balance if he bite me while on that hand, and that would leave him unphased too.

What should i do? I dont think he is biting out of fear, if anything it would seem due to excitement, i dont think he hates me too.

Please help.

Hi,
Don't shake your hand, you will make him untrustful. Don't tell and scream. The proper way to shun after s bite is say no bite, set them down on the back of the couch or chair, you can turn your back, wait a few seconds and go and pick them up again and go on as if nothing happened. A second but they go back to the cage for a few minutes. But shunning only works if they want to be with you, if the goal is to get away from you it doesn't work as well . Your bird might be going through the rush of hormones and puberty to. I will get done links that might help. And ithetes will see this tonight or tomorrow and have good advice for you.

Consistency IS the big thing. Right after, identification of the why. If it wants to be with you, hollering quite loud "OWWW", putting him on a perch and leaving the room for 3 to 5 mins; is good. Yes, im confused. He certainly likes to be with me. Sometimes he comes and then bites me, sometimes when i ask him to step up, he would happily sit on my finger until for no apparent reason, he bites me as if my finger were his chew toys. :/

I would try putting him down quietly and leaving the room or shunning him.
