Hey there! We live in Texas. I see a lot of social media birds on the ground in the grass. I’m not sure how I feel about that. Thoughts?

Honestly, that was my opinion too so I appreciate hearing itTexas does not have long cold Winters that tend to kill off Viruses and Bacterias, plus a vast number of bugs and spiders, just to name a few things. As a result, it is not a great idea to place your Parrot on the ground and take her /him back into your home. Yes, Parrots live naturally in such environments, but when they become Companion Parrots, they do not build-up a resistance to such things, nor the smarts to avoid them and others. Whether one is speaking about cats or Parrots, insiders should be kept inside!
Likely going to be opinions on all sides of this question, but that's my two-cents!!
Then what about an outdoor aviary?
