Birdie diapers? Lol

Just curious on everyone's take on these bird diapers...

Kass spends most of the day outside his cage. Usually only in his cage for bed and nap time, and when we are out of the house for errands. We don't have a problem with him having accidents since we don't have carpeting but was just curious if these diapers might be ok for birds to use sometimes around the house.

Just to stress this...we came into bird ownership knowing and accepting they can and will poop everywhere. But wouldn't mind options to use if we bring him out for guests to interact with him or just other random times.

Personally , I wouldn't waste the money. Potty train him and be done. Keep in mind these type of flight suits are like harnesses and will take time to teach them to wear. Teaching him to poo only on his stand or in his cage is always best. When outdoors its whenever, wherever.

I have wondered this too. Most of the birds I don't care too much, they usually back up and poo on the floor rather than on shoulders and laps.



Our special needs budgie, however, just goes where she is. Sometimes it gets stuck in her vent feathers, and sometimes it is just wherever(no matter how awkward of a place it is... she loves hanging out on my chest if you can imagine where it ends up). We have thought about trying to make something for her and/or maybe shave her vent feathers or something to keep her a little more sanitary. IDK though, we haven't done anything yet and I'm really not sure I like either idea.. very on the fence.

Well stated above!
Commonly your Parrot will provide some specific body language just prior to having a movement! Once you connect the specific body language will the action, you only need to work on getting your timing in place by moving your Parrot to a wanted location.

Oh yes we can mostly predict when he is about to go. We are working on training him to go in certain areas but will reinforce it more once summer starts.
