Bird Show???

We just recently lost our baby boy Charlie Brown Well my boyfriend really wants to get another bird and for me it is simply too soon, but there is a bird show this coming weekend that is going to be less than an hour from where we live and he wants to check it out to see if there will be any eclectus breeders or eclectus babies available.

If I cave and say okay to getting another bird now what are somethings we should be on the look out for? I've been told its a bad idea to get a bird from a bird show because they are exposed to a lot of other birds that could possibly have dieases and so on.

We have contacted Laurella and she is amazing but the soonest she'll have one ready to go to a new home is four months which is fine with me but my boyfriend wants another one sooner than that. There is also one at pet store close to our house but I have reservations about getting him because he looks like he is sick.

Can you request the petshop to have him vet checked?
