So, Kitt wanted me to write this but it is for anyone else who has ever wanted to go there.
First of all, they have SOOO many birds!! Most of the birds are out of their cage for you to handle. I held a jenday, canary wing bee bee, an amazon and a salmon crested too... The salmon crested was definitely my favorite!! He lowered his head for me to scratch it, then he got on my hand and cuddled :) There was also these 2 B&G's that were CRAZY!! We came over to them and they were wrestling (while hanging upside down lol) then they started screaming like crazy. Then they were doing all this funny stuff lol.
They have a huge selection of toys and food also. All the birds cages are clean and reviews have said that they keep too many birds in one cage but those birds are babies, they are just temporary cages.
All the birds are very happy and friendly, and yesterday I definitely learned that all birds have a different personality!!!
The pictures are on my cousins camera so I'll probably have to post them next week.

I bought my Meyers there in 2008 and they were terrific!

Also, I watched as a couple wanted to adopt a B&G and they asked the couple so many questions, and gave them so much info that the couple walked out dazed and annoyed that they would not just sell them the bird without all the pre-screening.

They also have an area with birds that need to be rehomed. Go to the very back of the store. Each of these birds comes with their own cage.

The store stock is overwhelming and if you don't know what you want you will get very confused. But talk to them -- they actually answer questions!

(I'm new on this list. Always been terrified of big birds, but now have an Eclectus that I adore. She was rehomed 4 times before coming to me as a vicious, plucking, woman-hating bird. She's not any of those things since she arrived here. Our home life and the Ekkie personality seem to mesh very well.)

Hi Linnies:) I just adopted a 4 year old female ekkie this past sunday & she really hated females. But now she follows me around the floor until she gets back on me! She's so sweet!! You should post some images of yours so we can all see how pretty she is:)

And it's really good that the store was pre-screening. They sound very educated. Maybe I'll have to make a road trip one of these years!

This is Lacey, the attacking, woman-hating plucker! Don't know how long it will take her to behave like a "real" bird though because she is fearful of many, many things. But she gets better EVERY day!

Her feathers are growing slowly, but what a SHINE on them now.
