Bird Bug

Saturday my best friend and I went to the breeder/rescue in the town an hour away. I was expecting to come home with a bird but unfortunately none of them hit a chord with me. To my amusement though, a little Pineapple GC decided it wanted to come home with my best friend. She huffed at me all the way home after we left; angry that she'd caught the bird bug from me. Later that night, she sent me a text saying her parents okay her getting the bird so hopefully Friday night, I will be bringing home little Hiccup for my best friend! I get to babysit the little sweetheart for a week until she gets her day off and we can head up to my old pet store to load up on perches, toys and food.

I'm excited to be an "Aunt" and to drag another person into the my and Con's flock. Here's a few pictures of the two together

Haha! The bird bug hit my friends too. I ended up getting 2 budgies, my best friend got her first bird (a cockatiel), my ex bought Carlisle (my sun), I bought Spooky (my hand fed budgie), my ex adopts Kayak (my dusky), my friend buys a Caique, and lastly my ex gets a GCC to keep him company because I have Carlisle and Kayak and 2 budgies.

I love birds. My friends love birds. My cousin wishes she could have a bird, but she's going away for college in the fall... she just comes over and "borrows" mine.

Brittany really liked Con when she met her and Brittany is the only one that can pick Con up from my shoulder. Other people get squabbled at and beaked. Brit was never really a bird person until I started talking about them and because we are so alike, we usually end up with each others hobbies. First I get her into fish and now it's birds. MY hobbies cost her so much money lol
