Bird Boarding or Grandparront Sitting?

Every year I go SCUBA diving in Honduras, and I have scheduled my trip VERY early this year (June 13th, the weekend after we get out of school) so that I won't be gone on vacation when my new Rosie baby comes on. On the other hand, Sammy will have to be left for a week. I have two options: I can take him to the Kookaburra shop and board him for a week where he will be stuck in a small cage but taken out and interacted with, or I can have the grandparronts come down every day to feed him and let him out of his cage for maybe an hour. Neither situation is ideal; however, those are the choices I have. I am leaning toward having the grandparronts sit him because 1) he won't have the extra stress of a new place 2) he will be in his big cage with all the toys he loves to play with 3) he has no chance of somehow picking up a virus (even if boarded birds do have to have health papers, I am still paranoid) and 4) it won't cost me anything (I have already plunged almost $3500 in to this trip including updates on my SCUBA equipment that I needed--I REALLY love them coral reefs!!!) So I am thinking grandparronts... though he won't get a lot of interaction other than my mom sitting by him and talking--she's big on handling him. Opinions?

I would have your parents do the sitting. Seems less risky to me and it's only a week. Plus I assume Sammy knows your parents already so it won't be strange to him just he won't get as much as he's used to. He won't hold it against you.

I would also say Grandparronts:)
I agree with Julie, please please post pictures!
