5 Cockatiels
So today I had both Luna and Bingo out of the cage at the same time. I opened both cages and was ready to intervein with a towel if I needed to.

Bingo was first out climbing around on top of both cages. When Luna came out she flew over to the back of the couch (about 12 feet away from cages).

Bingo went strait to the doorway of Luna’s cage and just sat there. I thought he was going to go inside but no, maybe he was comparing cages.

After about 15 minutes of no activity I picked up Bingo and sat on the couch. He climbed up onto my shoulder but stayed on the far side of Luna.

Soo I went to put Bingo back in his cage. I was leaning over so he could step up onto the door of his cage and he flew towards the kitchen and landed on the back of the computer chair.

Bingo has not shown much interest in flying and never gone more that 6 feet. This was more like 12 and he did not do it out of fright. I think it’s because he has been watching Luna (and Bella) flying and finally realizes he to has wings and is a bird not a person.

Way To Go Bingo!

nice job Bingo :D I wish Amy would take lessons from Beebs....amy still shows no interest in flying

Yay Bingo!

Any chance he was 'showing off' for his new "friend"?

It could be. I don't know what caused him to fly. He wasn't scared or trying to get away.

He did try to fly away when I was giving him medicine for his nose problem but never went more than 3 feet.

My Sam shows no interest in flying either. He has full wings, but never even tries to take off. If he is playing upside down and loses his footing, he flutters to the floor, but doesn't really get lift.

Same thing with Amy...

Wes? BTW...how IS Bingo's nose problem? Did it finally clear up?

I haven’t seen any more nasel discharges. I did hear him breathing with that popping/bubbling noise. I think it possible that he knows we look for the discharge and cleans it off.

How long has Bingo been on that stuff now,and how often does he get it? Is it possible he might need a stronger dose? Poor Bingo...prolly "picks his noses" to try and make you think he is good to go so he doesn't have to go thru with getting his meds
