Big Feather

Hi birdlovers,

I would like to ask about big feather of amazones which falls down when they fly.
I found out that when my Jakob flying around his cage he sometimes misses big feathers. Is it ordinary or not?

Not exactly sure which feather you are talking about here ... but their tails do fan out while flying, as do their wings ... any way you can give us a little more info and then we can help you out more ...

It's normal for a big feather to fall out every once in a while. They are probably going through a molt. By big feather, I'm assuming that you mean a flight feather, in which case it's perfectly normal and nothing to get worried about.
