Big eagle!

My galah did the big eagle! A really big eagle, with head bobs and held up for ages. I've been trying to get her to put out her wings because I've got her a harness. She's been sticking them out briefly when I go to say "good morning" but not really doing it on command. This time she did it when I went to speak to her but she went full on with it. I applauded (maybe this is the answer for her training, she is a show pony and wants applause?). She did the head thing, then she did it again. It was quite the performance, I was so impressed.

Now the question - should I have been impressed or was she going into attack mode or something? I can't wait until tomorrow to try her out again and see if she'll do it again, and do it when asked.

She does it a lot now, it's part of her "schtick". But she does it to show off, we're still working on the "I ask, you do" component.

Willie lift both of his wing high up pin his eyes and turn his head left and right then stop and screams out "Big Eagle".

i think it is her trick to catch your eyes, but i think it is good, that you could train the same trick easier later...
