Big Bird

Big Bird, my "old soul" Moluccan suddenly passed away last Friday. He was absent any visible signs of illness or distress, but was almost certainly a very aged bird. I acquired him 30 years ago from a family-breakup situation; they represented his age based on their experience and prior circumstances as 25 or greater, and was likely wild-caught.

Big Bird was a gentle giant who NEVER bit and was adored by the 4 Goffins in his room. Always intriguing to watch them interact, particularly as his massive beak gently preened the smaller Too's feathers.

RIP Big Bird, you were well loved and are missed.

Oh Scott, I am so very sorry for your loss of Big Bird. I know how dearly you love your birds. Big Bird was very fortunate to have been a treasured family and flock member for so many years, I wish all Toos were so fortunate.
