Hello. I will be getting my new baby amazon in june. I have a grey as well. Wondering if someone could educate me on the best size cage for an amazon. Also fav toys, treats?

I keep my zons in 30 x 40 playtops.

They can go the next size down from that, but 30x40 gives them plenty of room to play.

I prefer playtops with zons.

I too prefer cages with playtops. Gives them an extra dimension to the standard enclosure, and offers a good lookout over the environment.

So many toys to choose from! Since your bird will be young, try to introduce a variety as they often become partial to certain toys. Wood chew toys are a favorite, as are safe fabrics and ropes. Please be careful with anything metal that is not stainless steel, particularly with bells. I always remove the ringer as many contain dangerous metals.

I have never owned an amazon, but look forward to seeing pictures of your new baby! As always, the cage with the most space you can provide is the best one (of course if it is safe for your parrot).
