I was wondering - what do you consider the best/favourite and worst(wish they'd stop that! ) things your fids do?
I will start :
Best : I think almost everything my precious Percy does is special but my favourite thing is when he 'gossips'. If you're able to catch him at just the right time and ask him "who made you cross?", he will make the most adorable little crying-type sounds and "tell" you all about it. And if you then go "really, baby? Shame, my poor birdy! Such nasty people/scary birds/dogs!", he gets so into his gossip mode that he drops his head, ever so 'sad' and 'cries' and mumbles about the terrible life he has. It cracks me up!
Worst : Percy has selective hearing and/or understanding of the English language. He understands very well, during the day, what it means to "come" or "go home" (go to his cage) or "do you want this nut/toy/whatever". BUT, as soon as the sun dips to close to the horizon and it gets close to bedtime, he goes deaf. He will NOT come, go to his cage for bedtime (even if he's wobbling on his gym from sleepiness) or be bribed/coerced into anything. He won't even look at you or acknowledge that there is someone in the room LOL! He loves his cage and he loves to sleep in it but if he's not already in his cage, you're in for a challenge. He will ignore you completely until you try to pick him up and then bite you! Only my son can pick him up at this time without getting nipped. Silly bird
