We will soon be the owners of our very first bird- a lutino tiel. He has about 2 more weeks before he'll be weaned and ready to come home. In the meantime we're working on getting everything all ready for him.
I've been reading like crazy, but wanted to get some input from experienced tiel owners.
What types of toys do yours like best? How many should I put in his cage at a time? How often should I rotate them out? I know having several perches of varying diameters and materials is very important. But how many should I get? What kinds? What sizes?
What about a swing? A ladder?
We want so much to do the very best for him. But there's so much conflicting information out there I'm overwhelmed! Thank you in advance for your help
Oh, since I'm sure it makes a difference with what can go in it, the size of the cage we bought him is 31in x 21in and is 53in high.
