best cage for eclectus Parrot?

I see there are a few versions, just make sure it is not the kind where the dome top opens up. There have been many cases of injury and death from the dome falling in and hurting them.

I think that cage would be too small. My Ekkie flaps his wings a lot in his cage and he wouldn't be able to in that cage. Right now he is in a double macaw cage. Although Ekkies can have a reputation of not being too active, mine uses every inch of his cage. Bigger is better if possible. How much time during the day will your Ekkie be in the cage?

That's another one of those bird's I'd be tempted to keep in a 30 by 40 playtop, or the next size down from 30 by 40...

I have a few cages but Kings Cages makes the nicest mass production cage in the US. I do not like the style cage you posted but that's because it isn't big enough for my birds to be happy. Also, I don't like play tops. A dome top has more room and then a bird stand so I can move it around the house with me.

Oops, that's about the right size. I was looking at the wrong picture.

Just be careful with the open top. I would secure it closed permanently so as to avoid any injuries.

Thought it was shut top as it's play area? What quantities you feed yours? as in 1/2 cup etc. Hope your having great day Britney.

found some good sized AND inexpensive cages from Rowland Wholesale...any feedback from those more experienced about quality or issues? Says they use non toxic/pet safe powder coat. Would be nice to get a decent cage for under $200 but I dont know what I dont know, and would hate to waste money on it if there is something not good (and thanks for the heads up on the play top/dome top issues)

Yes, be sure you're only looking at powdercoated cages. Paint chips and can seriously hurt or kill your bird if ingested.

Please post a link to the cages you're looking at [emoji4]

This is one (with the dreaded open top)...just an example, but what's wrong with the cage? Can there reallly be this much difference in price in cages???

Thanks for the replies I'm in uk not America. I've just put deposit down for my first Eckies now I need a name aswell as cage. Just bought lots toys from scarlets website.

That cage is tiny. It features a photo of a Caique - which I also have - and they are about 1/3 the size of an Eclectus. You'll need a much larger cage.
