Best age for self feed african grey

Hi everybody,

I am thinking of buying an african grey self feed chick. What is the best age for one in that she is able to feed herself fruits, veggies etc. And also she does not need to eat hand feed formula or cereals or other baby food. Thanks for your help

Each baby weans at his/her own pace, but I think I can safely say that at 4-5 months African Greys are weaned and eating completely on their own.

Thanks for your help!! Is taking care of a self feed african grey difficult or different than any other parrot? Is there any specific precautions/ instructions for a Cag baby. I have 4 love birds, 2 conures, 1 ringneck parrot and 1 self feed ringneck parrot (6 months). Thanks again
