hi i am just looking for help we rescued two birds a lorikeet named bess and a cockatiel named burt the lady we got them from told us that they had been tormented by the last owners to the point my honey boy bess started to lose hes feathers and burt did not trust nobody because the kids had picked on him and picked on him they come with a warning never to separate them because they have found comfort in each other and seem to be ok she said they do not talk much maybe one word here and there well she was wrong about that one once we got them home i spent one on onetime with each one let them know i was no threat and it all went fine they started both talking one more then the other as time went on they grew to know no harm was going to happen here that was in the past that they are cared for and loved here but then my lorikeet started been mean and a plain bully to the little one he tips hes food out chases him away from the water and just will not let any one touch the little one if they do he attacks him its hard to split up and im so worried for my little man hes so soft and will not fight back he just screams for help we have had them apart on a time out to let bess (the lorikeet) know what hes done is naughty but he gets frantic will fly around the cage screaming in a high pitch voice for burt to come back he says sorry then they go a few weeks ok until bess does not agree with burt getting affection and the same goes he will not let him on me or my husband he will scream until burt flys away with fear then he will chase him around with hes eyes pined and hissing he swears at him and my daughter my daughter can not touch me or my husband because shes worried he will attack her arms like he has in the past weeks he swears at her calls her a brat and tells her shes naughty shes terrified of him and her and my little man burt have a bond so beautiful he sings to her and talks to her until my lorikeet starts on him he has to run for it the only way i can do it so burt does not miss out is lock bess in the cage it breaks my heart to hear him go mad about it but its the safe way for my daughter and burt to have bonding time and also have to do the same thing for burt to have mirror time to because hes attacked for touching the mirror the lorikeet will tell him to back off its not hes and call him a A*hole i cant seem to snap him out of the bad words hes main knowledge of speaking is curse words unless hes greasing to my daughter for her fruit or chips he will say come here sweet heart bess bess love you how do i get him to just stop because i hate having to do this separate bonding time
