thought I would show you bellas favorite place to hang out with us. I get the shredded paper from work to stuff toys. the wife started puttin handfuls down over food and bella loves foraging in it looking for treats.

The shredded paper thing is a good idea! imma steal that! haha

feel free to steal it tho I have no intentions of telling my wife how good of an idea it was! shes hard enough to deal with as it is.

that's, a great play stand. did you buy it or make it, if you bought it WHERE!? that play stand is perfect for the bird i want and i love its portable size!

its just one of the playpens that come in a flat box and you assemble it when you get home. they are almost always on the bottomshelf at a petstore. I know all the big chains sell them. the only thing we didnt like was how much room the ladder took up so we ended up putting a much shorter one that allowed her to get down to the rope. it does have a few hard to clean areas but we love it. we take it in the bathroom to try to show bella the showers fun, kitchen when were making stuff (but not cooking), even bought an 8 dollar T.V. tray at walmart so she can be next to me on her playgym when im in my easy chair.

Heres some photos of bellas newest playgym I just completed. It is wood from the cottonwood out back held together with hemp rope (bellas not much of a chewer) cemented into a wooden barrel flower pot, with playsand on top of the cement to make it scoopable. Im not sure the sand is the safe kind but bella will never climb down there anyway since climbing isnt one of her strong points. lol

LOL I just realized the link isn't right! Sorry; I'll try to look for it again. ;)

The stand you built is awesome! I wish I were handy enough to do something like that!

she loves it too! her first time on it and she explored 75% of it. Ive really never met a bird as open minded as bella.
Though she does not enjoy being put in her travel cage and set outside, but since she doesnt panic or anything and just does her "daddy come get me" dance the whole time I make her suffer through it in hopes she will learn to enjoy it.
