I will be bring home a new parrotlet tomorrow so I broke qt early with Danny as I need the qt space. I moved his cage into the bird area yesterday so he could see the other 2. Then this morning I removed Spirit and Danny together and placed them on a play stand together. I was standing right there ready to take a bite and separate them in a instant if needed.

I had a handful of sunflower seeds and started to pass them out to the 2. After 3 seeds each I offered head scritches and both took them. :D The body language was interesting. Danny took almost a baby bird stance and was begging while Spirit started out vary up right and tight soon realized it was OK and relaxed. I only had them on the stand for maybe 5 min and then put them back into there cages with breakfast to keep it positive. I will keep this up for a week before i let them go longer. :green1::whiteblue:

It's always a little scary introducing birds to each other even birds of an equal size. I hope they will become good friends.

I hope it works out well for you breaking Q early. Did you decide on a Parrotlet instead of a Cockateil?

I am still looking for a teil for my son. This parrotlet came along from a breeder who hand fed it then it was released it back into the aviary. I have always wanted to work with one of these little birds and see if there reputation is truly as bad as they are. She is selling her to me vary cheap and I will be clicker training it and seeing how long it will take and what works best with it. They would be a perfect apartment bird or a bird for someone who wants a parrot but does not have the room for a supper sized cage, but if you read on them every one says what little monsters they are.

As for the boys it would be great if they get along and would play together. I am just hoping to be able to have them out in the same area with out trying to kill each other! Having one bird that has to be out alone in enough!
