Behavioural changes

Hi all!

I have a green cheek conure who is 5 years old (I've had him since he was 17 weeks). Since I've had him, he's been brilliant, behaviour wise. Yes he's a little nippy but I know this is GCC's nature. However, recently, he has become aggressive towards certain objects.

He has started to fluffy up, open his beak and charge and anything crinkly. For example, makeup remover packets, baby wipes, crisp packets, etc. During the years I've had him I've exposed him to loads of different things and these crinkly packets have never been an issue until now. He's never been the sort to bury himself into clothing or small spaces either but recently has become obsessed with going on my bed and hiding in my pillows/sheets. I'm not sure if this is related or not...

Nothing has changed either. My routine is still the same, I haven't changed my appearance, the way I treat him, the food I give him. I've also taken him to the vet recently and he was absolutely fine and healthy. His weight is stable (I weigh him once a week) also.

Does anyone know what could have caused this change in behaviour or is it something that can just happen? I'd also appreciate any advice on how to stop this and get him used to these objects again, any techniques I should do (exposure?), going back to basics, etc.

Thank you in advance. :)
