Beans Prep Question

So I was originally told I could do a quick soak on my beans for my chop. Now I'm hearing that a quick soak is bad and that I have to let the beans sit for several hours before boiling them for 15 minutes. I froze my chop up with these beans after boiling them for about 30 minutes. Should I just dispose of the chop or should I pick the beans out? Duke has been eating the chop now for the past couple of weeks and I want to prevent any further damage if there has already been some.

What type of beans are we talking about? Not all of them are toxic.

They're black beans

Did the black beans become tender after you cooked them or were they still hard? If they softened up, you should be all right.

I use a 15 beans soup mix in one of my recipes, and I always make sure and cook those beans for at least 45 minutes, or until they're all super soft.
