Parrots
African grey
Green cheek conure
Hi my african grey is now nine months old and the top layer of her beak seems to be breaking off just down the bottom! I have spoken to the breeder who said this is normal however I'm pretty sure there must be a reason for it??
Any help please ??

It looks normal to me, but if your concerned you can always take her to an avian vet. I keep a sandy corner perch in my greys cage and he uses it to keep his beak nice and smooth.

Ok thank you maybe it is me worrying lol thought it might mean she was lacking in calcium or something thank you

That's just how parrot beaks are. They'll get all sorts of minor peeling, cracks, divets, etc. when you look up close. From chewing, or whatever. It's normal wear.
