Babysitting a bird, is this behavior normal ? - video

This adorable little guy (or girl) belongs to a family friend. As I have had a conure in the past. (I gave my Poppy bird away to someone who is taking absolutely amazing care and I am so happy for my bird as with her, the bird is never, ever alone)

Anyways, this lovebird does this a lot, yet eats very well, very playful and energetic...

Cuuuuute!

Looks like regurgitation/bonding behavior to me, and as such, not a worry ubless associated with aggression or such... but I've never known a lovebird up close and personal. Lots of lovebird lovers here who will be along shortly, for sure!

Yep, that is what our little guys do just before they make their move on the gals. The flicking of the foot on his face seems to help make the funny chucklechuckle call. I havent seen a guy do it to a person before, though we've had hens regurge on us a few times.

He needs a mate, methinks, though you have to be careful introducing a hen as the hens will sometimes do a lot of damage to a little guy that they are not keen on.
