Baby Toys?

Hey guy,
Was just wondering if anyone out there gives baby toys to their birds? Figuring they would be cheaper than bird toys and relatively safe since they're designed for babies... Thoughts?

I do , Mine love the baby keys and also the links that look like a chain . I hang those on my GCCs play gym and she hangs and climbs all over them.

A big bird needs a big toy, and a small bird, a small toy. If you give the bird the wrong-sized toy, injury is possible. Most toys are labeled for small, medium, large, and extra-large birds.

Household items for toys
Paper towel *tubes* seem to be resounding favorites, and they're cheap!
Ping-pong balls are popular. Plastic measuring spoons and cups work well.
Plastic caps from soda bottles.
To clean the toys
A mild soap and warm water will usually do the trick. Rinse and rinse and rinse, and then dry well.

Mishka loves each and every one of his toys, homemade and bought. Keeps him entertained and stimulates him constantly.
