I rescued Chuckie almost a month ago and we have already made so much progress together. He's talking a lot more now. He loves it when I sit next to him and read him stories. The way he tilts his head when I'm reading is just so darn cute. Still haven't gotten him to step up to my arm or hand yet. But I feel like it won't be much longer before we get there. Earlier today he watched me and Jinx, my baby Quaker, play with toys and practice stepping up. I let Chuckie out of his cage ( I only bring out one bird at a time) and was talking with him, I asked him to step up onto my arm. He lifted one foot and was reaching for it, but then changed his mind and walked away saying "Huh".
Chuckie will let me pet his beak and back every once in awhile too. He makes kissy sounds at me when ever I am close to him. His sweet side is slowly starting to show.
