baby macaw emergency beak issue

hello today i notice my baby is in pain because of her beak she is only 9 weeks old, what should i do ?

Do you know what happened? Is it an injury or deformity?
Can he close his mouth properly?

Does your bird appear to be in pain, or are you observing deep frustration from difficulty eating? What sort of foods are you able to provide?

That's why I was asking about his ability to close his beak properly. IF it is scissor beak and they catch it early, they can correct it. That having been said, severe scissor beak can interfere with breathing and eating. My bird came to me with scissor-beak but there are varying degrees.

What symptoms are you seeing that suggest pain and how long has this been an issue? I absolutely suggest looking for an avian certified vet (or zoo vet).

he got the condition since he is a baby, its not an injury and he cant close his mouth properly.

still very young, we feed formula to our baby . ill visit a vet tomorrow probably they say he is very good, lets see

My bird has it- she is an adult though- It is much better if you can get it fixed though, because it can end up costing more money down the road to keep it from becoming a major issue..Noodles had to have really frequent beak trimming on one side because of it.

so we went to the vet, he took a look at her he wanted to do some blood tests and gender DNA feather test but I didn’t allow him, I think she is still young for that. For the extra piece from the beak he said probably cuz she got deformity she keeps grinding in a strange way that’s why it happened. He said he won’t do any type of beak trimming. she is still young and nothing can be done to scissor beak deformity at all whatever retainer or procedure that is taken now it will hurt her and create a trauma. And asked me to give her a sunbath so she gets more vitamin D and to wait. For the panting problem, he said she is growing new feather and it’s really hot in Saudi and she can’t sweat so she is adopting, no problem but keep an eye on the climate around her.

1. why my parrot doesn't come to eat like all other parrots when they see a syringe? and i know for a fact she is very hungry!
