Not named yet - lovebird
Hello
I bought my baby lovebird 2 hours ago and it is sleeping happily in its container.
The only problem is the lady at the shop said, when I asked about feeding, that the hand feeding formula doesn't have to be heated before I give it to the lovebird.
Is this true as the first time I need to feed it is in one hour.
Thanks

Please I need to know

The formula needs to be around 100-110° F.

If you don't know what you are doing, you shouldn't have brought home an unweaned bird. Sorry.

Its okay, I read a few more forums/guides and heated it to the appropriate temperature and my lovebird is fine.
Thanks

I hope there are no further issues and your lovie grows up to be big and strong!

Can my lovebird have a bath in the sink?
Im worried that it may be too young or get to cold.
Thanks

I would only suggest offering water to bath in, but not forcing your lovie to take a bath until fully weaned and able to take care of him/herself. Some young birds take to water naturally and love it! Others it can take months or years for them to warm up to the idea of a bath.

Birds often bathe in cold water in the wild, unless it's a warm rain and/or there are puddles of water that have been warmed up by the sun. As long as your home is warm enough for your bird to dry off, the temperature of the water shouldn't be an issue as long as it's not hot.
