Last Saturday I picked up my 8 week old, hand fed baby. Everything has been fine and normal, but I’ve noticed that the baby sometimes makes beeping or chirping noises and slightly moves his wings, this usually starts when he is cuddling under my chin.

I don’t have much experience with young birds, so, if he was older, I would assume this is hormonal behavior, but he’s so young and I don’t touch or pet him anywhere except the head and neck. If anyone can tell me what this behavior is, or what it means, I’d greatly appreciate it.

in babies this is often asking for food and attention from parents
Be sure this young one is eating enough. Weigh and check poop.
Sometimes they still need support feeding once or twice a day if revert or not fully weaned.

Thank you so much! The baby is fully weaned, and eating fine, but I’ll keep an eye on his weight and poop.

Sometimes young birds revert when change in homes. So good you will watch.
Likely just being a happy cuddling baby.
Is to early for hormonal I agree.
Love to see a picture @
