Hi
I have an African Grey and two week ago noticed that his beak has gone sideways That is his top does not cover the bottom part. What has happened does any one know?
Please help
thanks
Jenni

Could be any number of reasons.... injury, improper diet, inadequate grinding, incorrect hand feeding techniques...

It would be best to seek advice from an avian vet and possibly do a blood panel.

Hi! I'm relatively new here to! I have two BG Macaws that I adopted about two weeks ago. Both had been VERY neglected. Draco had a beak that was so overgrown it actually cut his neck and chest. An AVIAN vet is the way to go! My guys have already made two trips there (one was unexpect). His beak will take a couple more trips to finish but most times I think you can have it fixed in just one visit with sedation. We just ran into an issue with nerves and bleeding. We didn't want to over tax him or hurt him.
If you need advice, http://www.parrotforums.com/members/nyspy.html is VERY helpful!!! and so is Birdman666. Good luck with such an amazing new family member! I love my guys!
