Thanks will give once a week do you no if I should be given them any other product. It's great for sick or stressed birds, or after medication, but only recommended to be used daily for a 7 day period. I've read it can be given once a week under normal circumstances. Bear in mind it doesn't contain all vitamins or any minerals. But is brilliant as mentioned to support birds through illness.
The pellets, if that's the majority of their diet, should already contain the right levels of vitamins and minerals. I use supplements as my birds are quite fussy - they have seeds (but pick their favourites) and some veg (again fussy which ones they'll have). I can't personally comment on a pellet diet as my birds don't eat them, but I think if you started giving regular vitamin and mineral supplements too, they could end up having too much. Not so much of a problem for water soluble vitamins, but fat soluble ones (ADEK) and some minerals could build up in the body, causing problems. Perhaps you could discuss with the avian vet when you next see them what they recommend for your birds personally. This article might help - https://www.hbf-uk.co.uk/using-harrisons-foods/faqs - if you scroll down there's a specific question on whether birds on a pellet diet should have supplements. Thanks will give once a week do you no if I should be given them any other product.
