I love the idea of giving a bird a cozy place to feel safe and warm, but I've read too many horrible stories about birds getting caught in loose threads and dying. Most of the huts I've seen are triangle-shaped with a floor and two sides (like the Happy Hut).
This one is different:
Avian Haven bird hut for parrots and other caged birds
Has anyone seen it? Does anyone use it?
Wondering if it would be safer than a Happy Hut since it doesn't have a bottom (it is situated over a regular perch). It is lined with sherpa type fabric on the back wall that could be a problem if a bird is inclined to chew fuzzy fabrics.
Thoughts?
