The August POTM Theme is Lazy Days of Summer!





This month we are looking for your birds being lazy. They can be drowsy, sleeping, or just doing absolutely nothing. Only photos for this one (no videos) but Photoshop is allowed!

The contest will run thru August 29th, and a poll for voting will go up then. Winner will be announced on September 1.
The winner will receive a Supporting Membership for a year, and their photo will be on the front page for the month of September.
One official entry per person, but you can add as many Just for Fun entries as you want!

Although its winter here is Australia, in Summer Sunny and I get snuggled under the air con (what a magical invention) to have lazy days together sharing some fruit and watching movies

This pic is a testament to Birdie's trust in you. Not one nail finding purchase in the material of your clothing, not one foot clenched. Just completely relaxed, sleeping without a care in the world. Nice!

Hahahahaha! With that sideways lean going on there, it looks like Kiwi is fighting a losing battle to stay awake! "I'm awake, Mom! Really, I... I... zzzzzzz... I'm awake, Mom!"

There's just something magical about a conure's ability to wedge themselves into any space and conform their bodies to a shape that makes that space seem like it was made for them! You both seem so connected to one another. So at peace. I love it!

Ember is knocked out HARD! Hahaha! With the V8 lean and everything! I love it when cockatiels get their puff on like that. With my dearly departed Suzie, I always called it his "old man" face.
