Hello all,

Red lored amazon for rehoming. About 10 years old. I've had her (him?) for several years. Kiwi is a one person bird. Can be very loving, but if a significant other enters the picture, when there wasn't one before, gets jealous, bitey, and a bit psychotic. (This has happened twice now, to me, and to the person I got her from).

Good health, bit of a perch potato, but occasionally enters full blown "wood chipper" mode. Pretty good at mimicing, and talks some, but not a lot. Absolutely adores Elmo on Sesame Street.

I'll post some updated pictures when she has finished drying off after her bath. Will include the cage, and some toys. Rehoming fee is 100 dollars. I'll deliver her to most anywhere in the Southeast.

If it were not for the fact that 2 of us live here & Kiwi is a one-person bird, you & I would be talking. Best of luck finding Kiwi the ultimate home.

Thats why I put that in there - its possible, I suppose, that if she were to go into a two person house that she would adapt right away to that situation. I don't know. If you are local to Atlanta, and want to investigate the issue, we can arrange for you and the other person to visit. I just want her to be happier, long term.....

I am not local, so it is impractical - plus just last summer we added a Blue Front Amazon who was on craigslist as, "FREE FREE parrot FREE FREE - must go ASAP" who likes me better than my husband. I truly am not sure his sense of humor would accept a 2nd one. Most of our parrots like one of us better than the other, but only the BFA occasionally initiates an assault . . .

But if you like, I can spread the word on an Amazon e-list, in case anyone is closer to Atlanta & looking.

Yes please.

I would *vastly* prefer to find someone through a bird forum or site, rather than vetting someone through craigslist. I'm looking forward to that about as I would smacking a toe with a hammer.

Just as an FYI, she sheds a considerable amount of dander. If she fluffs her feathers, and its been a while since her last bath, you can see a cloud of dander surround her.

So, I have posted on an amazon e-list & will be happy to post on a FB page. If you would message your email address to an administrator - or if an administrator would PM my email address to you - I can make sure to get you any replies that I receive.

Good luck
