I could picture my lovebirds having a great time playing with a toilet paper roll, but I thought they might get stuck in it if they tried to crawl in it.
ok, it wouldn't be serious if they did get stuck, but I want it to be fun for them.

any body else have their birds play with these things with no issues?

I believe there is a thread where we talked about this. In a nutshell, paper rolls, yes, toilet paper, no.

Besides the fact that the glue in TP can be toxic, unless you use a brand new roll, when you flush, tiny toxic droplets gets in the air and actually contaminate everything in your bathroom, YUCK, including the eventually empty paper roll.

I gave my lovebirds toilet paper rolls. They love it, its just funny to watch them throw it around their cage and they chase after it.

Or you can disregard what I said about their safety....

I haven't given them a toilet paper roll in a while. I use to though, because I had nothing for them to chew on. But they each have a little... animal toy that has the soft plastic spikes (I wanna call them that) around the head legs arms and tail. (please tell me you know what I'm talking about) Dino goes crazy with it. They look like this.

Yes, I knew what you meant. These are nice little play toys.

I went to a local breeders shop and bought about 10 of those for my guys. And some do it yourself toys.
