Hey

I bought some cereals online, I thought might look good for making my own bird mash blends.

But, I would like some feedback before I try giving it to them. Thank you!

Ingredients:
org. Kamut khorasan whole grain wheat flour

1 is not good because of the sea salt. The rest are ok.

Look to see if they have any added vitamins.

If these are for an adult bird and do not contain a bunch of sugar, salt or added vitamins for humans (as cereals often do) they could be okay as a supplement to standard diet/chop/pellets (excluding eckies).

The added vitamins are shown at the bottom-- not on the nutrition label (in many cases) so the picture doesn't show enough to judge.

Honey should also be avoided.

Thanks for the replies.
I already had a feeling the sea salt wouldnt be good and was disappointed to see it in the ingredients list.

I have heard conflicting things about honey and bee pollen, so I really wasnt sure.

Too bad about that cereal, but the other 2 seem good at least I can work with those.

Of course I am open to any other suggestions

You have options, you just have to look. Seed crackers, rice cakes, to name a few.
