I definitely wouldn't let the bird eat them! It's unlikely that casual use in the house will bother your birds, but if the bathroom really reeks that might not be the time to give your bird a shower in there.

I think a reasonable rule is, if the smell is strong enough that it bothers you, you probably don't want the birds in direct contact with it. If you can't smell it strongly where the birds are, it's probably not a big deal. MHO.

(I'm girly enough to like stuff like this, but I don't use it right around my birds.)

I am a lover of fragrance. I always wear perfume or scented lotion. My birds are never bothered by it and i have had birds for almost 20 years. I don't spray any of those items in the room with the bird though.
And i always try not to get lotions on their feathers from handling them with it on my hands. But honestly, Georgie used to mow down perfume bottles and push them on the floor when she would play on my dresser while i got ready for work. (She was really bratty when she knew i was getting ready to leave her.) She survived a lot of fragrance. :)

just dont let them eat it or sniff the top of the bottle:) lol. just smelling it on your sisters will be fine. if its a fruity kind the birds may enjoy it :D
