Are nutriberries really hulled?

Hi!

My Lovie loves nutriberries, and a representative from Lafeber told me, as you can also read in the package, that the seeds they use are hulled, which means they can coat them with nutrients without the fear of the bird not ingesting them because of the hull, making them essentially good for a base diet.

But I am kind of confused by this. What does "hulled" exactly mean? Because after my lovie is done eating, I see these small parts left behind. Are those hulls? If so, what's the deal then?

Attached is the picture:

Thank you!

Why not send your pic to Lafaber and see what they come up with? Sure they will be pleased to answer your question. Only suggestion I have is that it is part of the 'crunchy whole grains' they mention?

Not sure but do seeds have two outer layers? Sure someone will tell all?

I did! Regarding that specific question, the representative answered:

"Regarding the questions on your other email, yes, we do have some canary seed that is not hulled due to production methods, and that is what you are seeing in there."

I'm not sure what to think, I wonder which seeds are the one that are pre-hulled, because I see both canary and white millet hulls there
