Anyone know if this bedding is safe? It has a stronger smell than most other aspen brands I've gotten

I doubt it since cedar is or can be toxic to the very critters in the picture on the package. It's a good brand. I'd put it in an open bin and let it air out for a few days.
 
Just a wood smell but I've never had aspen have a noticeable smell so I'm worried it's like mis packaged cedar or something
If you have any doubts, throw it away and get a different brand.
 
Yeah, toss it if there's a doubt but maybe this batch is fresher than ones you've bought in the past and that's why it's smells stronger. Do the packages have dates on them? Just a thought.
 
Dates dont mean a thing. I have boughten bags of millet sprays that still had a year left of the best by date that smelled musty. I tossed it. Clearly it was defective.,
