I'm interested in knowing if anyone here has had experience ordering from Birds Comfort. Bird Cages - The Best Selection Presented by BirdsComfort.com

I used to receive emails from them, and I called and talked to someone there once since I was going to order (this was quite a while ago, but I decided not to order online), and they sounded legit.
Now I'm in the market for a cage. They seem to have a huge selection of cages from several known brands, yet they are much less expensive than anywhere else for the same products. Even less than some 'discount' sites. I'm almost skeptical - the prices seem almost too low. Makes me wonder if they're knock offs. I'm thinking no, it's fine, but I'm not super comfortable ordering stuff online anyway (I usually shop in a store). They do charge for shipping, and maybe other companies usually don't (?), and so others charge more overall? I have no idea.

I'm always nervous about ordering stuff online. I've only done it a couple times ever, and just for small stuff. There are several cages I really like here, and for an attractive price.

Is anyone familiar with this company?

I can't say I've heard of them, but try checking out their Facebook page, it seems to have a few posts from the public on it. Their page looks kinda outdated though, lots of messages from last year, and none that I can see from this year?

I was told if the price is too cheap they are "knock offs" not the real brand
I just went through this buying a cage for my soon to be forth coming GW

What cage are you looking for?

I had been looking everywhere for the cheapest cage I could find.... Well Petco was having a sale, The A & E 9004030 Dome Top
Normally $699.99 ON SALE FOR $489.99 !!
Well it gets better, I happen to know that if you sign up for their mailing list you get a one time 20% off code
So I got it for $391.99 + $23.88 tax + $5.99 Shipping
Grand Total of $421.86

Let me know if I can help you

Joe

BTW you might be able to call or email A&E (or whatever brand) and ask them if BirdsComfort.com is an authorized reseller !!

But, don't get your hopes up to be honest I think they are selling knock offs, they are the cheapest I have ever seen

I don't use FB... Maybe I should start. It seems more and more inconvenient all the time without it! I just don't like to post my whole life open for the world you know? Maybe I could get one just for stuff like this though.

I read on the site it only services the contiguous USA. Not even Hawaii or Alaska.

Thanks Mekaisto!

OMG Joe, that is a brilliant answer! :45: I never even thought of that, but I bet that will give me an answer. I'll call them during the weekdays. THANKS!

You sure did get a good price Joe!

I didn't want to go too "cheapie" on the cage. I don't really like Prevue or HQ. In person I don't like the quality and the lack of smoothness when using the lock on HQ's.
I was thinking of the A&E... There are several I like, so I'm going to call the manufacturer next week and ask if this is an authorized dealer. Thanks again for the suggestion. I tend to very cautious when dealing with a company I know nothing about, especially when buying online sight unseen!

No one can see your FB page as long as you don't set it to "Public"
Its a great way to share with your Friends, Family

They most likely only do contiguous USA because of size and weight

BUT I think they are selling knock offs

For now I have my eye on the A&E 22x24 play top (photo has it in blue). This cage usually runs well over $300 if not close to 400 on the overpriced sites.

I never order a cage from them. Captain Jack has this cage Large Prevue Bird Cage - Presented by BirdsComfort.com but I remember paying closer to 400 hundred for it. My local pet store ordered the cage for me. They delivered it and even helped me set it up. To be honest a lot of times I find cheaper toys etc online (like at mysafebirdstore and Dr Fosters and smith) then if I bought a toy from a pet store.

Here in Fla we have lots of bird fairs or shows, what ever you want to call them. cages are very cheap here. often there's several vendors selling the same or similar cages. The same cages you buy online or from the pet shop are less than half the price at local "bird fairs". $400 cage is about 150$ of course that's in the box and you assemble. There's a big mark up on cages, I'd bet they are the same cages you buy from other dealers. Shipping is expensive. Of course many cages are made in China now and quality is always issue, regardless of whom you get it from. I know what to look for in a quality cage and it's becoming rarer. Research the company ,do your homework, they're probably a Fla company.

I think I'll call the vendors (I'm interested in an A&E one) and ask if this company is one of their authorized dealers. If so, I'll see if shipping is reasonable. If it is, I'm ordering!

I guess they are legit. They're listed under retailers on the A&E website. Great prices but they do charge shipping.

I ordered from Petco.com on sale with free shipping so still came out cheaper.
Next, Robin needs a new cage, so we'll see where the best price is when I'm ready to order.

I know this was posted back in 2014, but wanted to give my experience. I recently put an order for the 64" perch for my galah cockatoo. Its stated on their site that after purchase, you would receive an email for confirmation and shipping costs. Haven't received any email for almost a week. I called them several times. The line rings, then disconnects you. I called the bank to dispute the charge without any problems. I honestly can't say if they're scamming customers or are too lazy to follow through with their orders, but they were very quick to take my money. Just a heads up.

I have 2 cages from Birds Comfort - one purchased last fall and one the year before, and had no issues. I’ve never tried to call them, but have had good luck emailing them. My first cage had a delay with them getting the shipping cost to me, but the person in shipping was on holiday and responded about 5 days later. Overall was a good experience x2 for me.
