Can you post a link to what it looks like?

If you've got a pic, or something I'll go scour some websites and see if I can find one :)

427HISS bought a nice looking one from King's cages. Also My Safe Bird Store has one I like that someone bought for their Grey.

I went ahead and ordered the one from Dr. Foster's, which was an easy decision since they put it on sale with $30.00 off with free shipping. Total was like $149.00. The bad part of it is, it's on back order and they don't expect them back in until the end of April. So Mac will just have to wait a month.

It'll be worth the wait since he's getting the same one so shouldn't stress too much. Looks like a good stand - I'm happy I can cop out and get the cheaper plasticy ones for Merlin. All the super awesome 'big bird' ones are sooo expensive.

Well, Dr. Fosters & Smith now have back ordered the stand until the end of May. So that's another month for Macky to wait.

Wow nice metal stands Kathie - I may have to get the large one!

Here is a link to the metal stands I carry. If you have not ordered from me, you can use the promo code FIRST for 10% off of your entire order. Orders of $100.00 or more qualify for free shipping :)

METAL STANDS by MY SAFE BIRD STORE

Thank you for the link. The large activity center is pretty close to the one he already has. But the two issues I have with the one you have is, it has the food and water bowls towards the bottom, which will get pooped on often.

Secondly, it's hard to pass up the $149.00 & free shipping from Dr. Fosters & Grant.

Macky got his new playstand over the weekend and has been giving me the old evil eye wondering when I'm going to get to putting it together.

I got a Fosters paly gym for $149 it is very nice and not to difficult to put together. Well worth the money. Cameo is still getting used to it but likes this much better than the play gym I built from PCV. The seed catcher is a nice bonus. Only issue I have with it is it will go through doorways of 31" or better. But my office door has a restricted opening therefore won`t open completely(closet) and I had to take off the seed catcher to get it in and the top perch that Cameo is chewing to pieces.LOL I have already gotten a replacement for it.

I took off the top bar that holds swinging toys because Cameo just kept perched up there. Did not feel like this was very good for her on that thin metal bar. Although she did a couple acrobatic tricks on it. I think she just lost her balance though. An easy way for her to damage a claw or leg. My opinion only.

This playstand is exactly like Mac's old playstand. He LOVES that top wire portion for hooking toys onto. He will climb up on that thing, spins around on it and then slides down it like a firemans pole. I noticed that the top perch stick is made out of a very soft type of wood dowl. Mac isn't a big chewer, so hopefully it will last him for a little while. if not, then it's off to Home Depot for a new hard wood dowel. Yep, That is the same place I got this playstand from and the same price as well.

By the by, I don't know if you did this or not, But if not, then you may want to wipe down the metal portions of the playstand with a mild soapy water solution. Mac's stand had a distict order to it right out of the box that smells like oil. I know a lot of companies coat metal items especially when shipping to inhibit rust from forming especially if the item will sit on a shelf for awhile. I noticed that there was indeed a film on Mac's playstand.

So I made sure and wiped it down after assembly with a soap solution. It took care of the oily film. Ialso noticed the smell on my hands and felt the oil residue after assembly. So I'm glad I caught that. I'm sure that coating wouldn't be good for birds.
