Does anyone have a cage like one of these?
Cages By Design - Suncatcher-Indoor-Bird-Aviaries

If so can we see it (and your bird with his toys.) Also does anyone have any awesome bird room or free flight rooms? Can we see it?

The cage I have for my cockatiels is similar to this: Avian Adventures Mediana Dometop Bird Cage - Bird - Boutique - PetSmart
Just a little smaller with a flat top, 2 dishes, and no breeder box.

The cage I have for my parakeet is similar to this:
Avian Adventures Chiquita Dometop Bird Cage in Ruby - Bird - Boutique - PetSmart
It doesn't have the stand or the seed catcher, it has appropriately spaced bars and is a few inches smaller on each side. He looks silly in such a HUGE cage (for 1 parakeet) but I cant bring myself to put him in our smaller cage because he is used to being in the large cage (we had 6 at one time).

I don't have one of those cages but I'm glad to see you don't think owning a parakeet means getting a "parakeet" cage.

Absolutely not. I got my first parakeet about 11 years ago. I wasn't planning on getting more than one but got him a cage that was easily 3x the size most people get their parakeet. Somehow I ended up with 2 more in that cage. And then, when I decided to get two more (total of 5) I got an even larger cage. That cage was a disaster. It was poorly designed and I hated it. Eventually I got the one I have now. I'm not sure who makes it but it is sturdy and great quality. Plenty big for the 6 parakeets that were in it at one time. I really feel bad for Bandit, who was number 2 of the 6 and the only one who still remains( 10 years old!), but I'm not sure that I want any more parakeets at this time in my life. Possibly in the future.

I'm sorry to hear about your parakeets.
I hate how pet stores advertise cages, the one I got for a weaning cage is 25×21×32 and was advertised as an amazon cage.

Thanks cdog. They lived quite a bit longer than expected. My aunt had many parakeets and they only lived 4-5 years MAX. The shortest lived (of mine) was 7 years, the others were between 8-10 years when they died.

You must take very good care of them. They also must be very happy too.

Our first parakeet didn't live very long. My parents think he got depressed when they moved from their apartment to a house, but I don't know about that. I was only 2 when he died. It might be one of my first memories though. The second one lived to about 10 and my third one lived to be 16. So they can live a long time. I've also been told recently that many are so overbred now they have much shorter lifespans than they used to.

I absolutely love love love Cages By Design! I have coveted their reptile habitats for years, and their bird cages are down right amazing! Nice taste ;)

My first bird was a blue budgie named Christmas (because he was my Christmas present when I was 2 or 3). He had a decent sized cage and then a smaller one we would take him in when we went to visit my aunt and such. My cousin thought it'd be a good idea - despite my protests - to let her dog stick his nose in through one of the cage doors. Poor Christmas literally fell over dead in front of my eyes. I was about 5, maybe 6. I have never forgotten that.

I feel bad for Loki and Sugar. They have such small cages! But we have a very small house, so once we move (this Fall if not summer), Hubs has promised me that we can get larger cages and keep the smaller ones for sleeping, along with a suncatcher cage (like you linked) for outside.
