That Ivory just did not forage and destroy toys...

moments like this I miss those days.....

This is her now empty toy basket....

And this is the mess she made of all those lovely foot toys....

Looks like those days are long gone! Good job, Ivory, on keeping your Mom from worrying:)

I even switched to a twine cause gimp is snapped immediately, but apparently todays goal was figuring out how to snip twine the same way.... wonder if they make kevlar twine :)

The old, "Be careful hat you wish for .." adage comes to mind!

Hey, is corn safe for Cockatoos? I know an ear of corn, complete with husks, was lots of fun for my rabbit to both peel apart, nibble, roll around and, when it was down to just the cob eventually, toss about for fun! It kept her busy for days, off and on.

Corn is a big debate, but I give Ivory corn on cob snd she loves to steal sweet white corn off my husbands plate.... its one of few veggies he eats, so she gets plenty of chances. I don't think uncooked would be something I'd ever do and she only gets veggies I would eat, so no lower quality, but thats just me and my spoiled girl!!

Forgot to add... dried husks are a huge favorite to rip up.... I expect this summer I'll perfect drying husks !!!

I once had a Cuban Amazon who would EAT the corn cob. I was so nervous she'd get impacted. I heard that could happen, but then I heard that no one else's bird did that in the first place! From then on, no one ever got cob...

lol! Reminds me of when I worried that Sakura was too much of a shy, timid perch potato to make use of the gym I bought her. Now she's a little acrobat and a little terror.

Looks like Ivory is a healthy too with a regular appetite for destruction. :D

Way to go Ivory!!! I got pretty jazzed when I saw the new ones tentatively touching the toys and ecstatic when they started tearing them up for the first time.

The care, love and attention you have given her shows!!:D

Oh and the "kevlar twine" comment almost sent coffee through my nose!

Pssh this one stole my social security card off the fridge and put a hole through it... She obviously needs to go now that the destructiveness has shown up full force:p
