Hi, guys. My CAG purely loved Bird-e-licious but it seems they aren't coming back, so we're thinking of making it ourselves. Is anybody else interested in getting this food again? If there is enough interest, we will begin our own production of a comparable(read scarily close) food for all of us. If not, we'll just do enough for us. Thanks for the feedback!

It's a gourmet, human grade parrot food that most birds adore. The Grey specific that we used contained, quoting the label,:

Bananas, squash, alfalfa, hemp oil, sesame seed meal, cranberries, flax seed meal, hemp seed meal, yams, kiwi, almonds, unsweetened coconut, mango, buckwheat groats meal, papaya, palm oil, quinoa, black beans, pumpkin seed, safflower seed, flax seed, hemp seed, carrots, bee pollen, buckwheat groats, brazilian marine coral calcium, CA-Montmorillonite clay, persimmon, red bell peppers, basil, cilantro, eucalyptus leaves, cinnamon, ginger, kelp, schisandra berry powder, proprietary edible flower mix, rose hips, rosemary, wild mountain oregano. In addition, raised on human grade food stuffs, dehydrated meal worms providing essential "animal protein". All furits and vegetables were unsulfered. All ingredients are of organic quality and most are human grade certified organic. No pesticides, preservatives, artificial flavorings or colorings, and no sugars or starches.

It looked like they mixed all that stuff up and then dried it into chunks, which turned out green. The fruits and veggies looked chopped in there and the nuts were whole and mixed into the chunks. It smells great and she was healthier on this than any food we used before or since. It was $15/pound, but worth every penny.

Sound interesting. Is it available online or at one of the larger pet store chains?:green1:

It used to be available online and in some high end pet stores, but they stopped production two years ago for a family illness, saying they would be back in a year. That never happened and now they have disappeared from sight entirely. That's why I was asking about interest and thinking of starting a similar production myself. We love it and want it for Sierra and if we're making enough for us, it would be fairly easy to make it for other people too.
