Parrots
Fang ({ab}normal grey cockatiel), Valentino (budgie), Jem (cinnamon cockatiel), Lovejoy(varied lorikeet), Peach (princess parrot)
HRH Crown Princess Lilly Pilly has to be a firm favourite for the title. She terrorises Fang and Val to within an inch of their lives. She has deleted work-related emails from her daddy’s laptop (hubby is a policeman - those emails probably weren’t important anyway...!) I cannot wear anything remotely spangly or sparkly around her because she’ll zero in and eat it, and anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE a bit of sparkle. She has cost me oodles of money replacing perfectly good bird cages due to her scalpel-like beak’s ability to remove powder-coating. She is awake and squawking with the rising sun so a nice little lie-in on days off work are a thing of the past. She is a truly terrible little bird but she is also awfully cute and sweet and funny at the same time and we are very happy she is part of our household and we love her to bits.

Now if you’ll excuse me I gotta go rescue Fang ... :)

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Worst bird?

At least the Princess has redeeming characteristics... beauty, brains, stuff like that.

Worst bird?

Worst bird?

Okay, how's about she can be worst hen and the Rb can be worst rooster?

Yep well I always knew the Rickeybird would be Lilly’s fiercest competitor for the title!

I left out that La Principessa likes to try to perform mole-ectomies on me and eyelid-ectomies on her daddy.

Fair call Gail, Lilly for Worst Hen, and lets face it the Rb is in a class of his own!

Maybe they can become remote soul-mates and spawn little spirit-demons!

Worst?? Worst??? Sorry the Rickeybird wins hands down; we have experienced the RB at his finest "worst", live on Skype. Granted he has some redeming qualties ( Gail's bestest friend) and keeps the Rival on his toes. But our vote would still go to the Rickeybird

Yeah fair enough you may be right, but all the same, did I mention how she likes to climb down the front of my clothes with her teeny tiny razor sharp claws digging into my ... erm ... unmentionables? And that she picked a fight with poor little Val the budgie only just this very morning that left him a quivering wreck?? Darn good thing that she’s only 4 inches long, mind you she would still try to take on the Rickster regardless, lorikeets do not back down!

I say Baby my female umbrella Cockatoo would definitely make a good Contender. Pictures speak louder than words? So good for the cage grates?

Oh look at her little face, “No daddy it was like this when I found it, honest!”

Maybe not “worst”, but perhaps “naughtiest”! ;)

Poor Rickeybird...I think half his problem is the complex he's gotten from the constant abuse, lol...But yeah, he definitely still wins this contest hands-down! LOL...

Alright Gail, you may have the World’s Worst Bird, but I have the World’s Tiniest Terrorist!

Bring on those little spirit demon spawn!! :D

I take no issue at all here. Diplomacy and negotiation at its best. Let it be.

This Forum will now be prey to the cyber-spawn of The Worst B. and The Tiny T. !

I found this little beauty whilst trawling through the webpage of our local national broadcaster, and I think we have new contender for the title of "World's Worst Bird", and why am i not surprised that it's a sulphur crested cockatoo...?! HRH the Crown Princess is NOT AMUSED to see her relatives being bullied in such a nasty manner!

Enjoy!

How this cruel cockatoo can do it to my favorite parrot species of my childchood*!!:( (*when I was a child, I really wanted to see rainbow lorikets in real life, now I prefer someting more rare such purple crowned lorikeets;))

We are all either the most wonderful pet-lovers in the world or the nuttiest. All of us.

Every last one of you.

I’ll go for “nuttiest”, but in the nicest possible way :)

Which is more than I can say for this bird behaving VERY badly!

Perhaps that naughty cockatoo was just envious of his little cousin’s fine flashy feathers? I mean, they all had SO MANY beautiful feathers...I’m sure they didn’t need that PARTICULAR one right?
