My new baby panama amazon doesn't eat seeds and nuts at all. He eats all fresh vegies and fruits.
I want to get him to eat some seeds and nuts as treats, which makes it easier to train him.
I would appreciate any advice.

Does he eat any pellets at all?

He might not have figured out yet ,that he can bite hard enough to open them.

He eats pellet. But like sunflower seeds, he just cracks them out and drops all of them then. I gave him un-shelled almonds. He just hold them using beak and dropped them again.

Have you tried soaking his seed just to make it softer? I do this with my Baby YC ! I pour boiling water over it for 10 mins, then drain it and then I add some pellets and mix together. She loves it :) If I put the seed in her bowl just dry, she walks away from it.

Yes, I tried both water and boiling water. Some of seeds even started to sprout.
By the way, Thanks for your advice in another thread. He just doesn't like any dry food right now except pellet.

This morning before I left, I tried some sprayed millet, which he seems like it. I am not sure though. I was in a rush to office. I will figure out when I go home in the afternoon.

Just keep trying. Im sure as time goes on he will eventually eat it. He is eating pellets which is a good thing! My Baby also loves Walnuts and Almonds.

Can you get whole pecans in the UK ? my birds love them ,just have to crack them a bit so they can get started.

My Nanday has never cared for sunflower seeds either even though I have been told a bird can get addicted to them. All my birds have liked peanuts though. And they have all liked whole grain bread. The 2 I have now are nuts for spaghetti with some tomato sauce.
