I have been noticing ants coming in through the cable outlet in my living room. I have vacuumed nearly twice per day on average, but they still keep coming back. My birds' daytime cages are not far away. I have sleeping cages in my bedroom. I was thinking about using ant spray in the living room one night after I bring my birds into my bedroom for the night. It is a liquid non-aerosol spray. Can I safely return my birds to their living room daytime cages in the morning?:orange::grey:

The problem with Ant Spray in a single room is that it never eliminate the source of the Ants! Also, what Ant control is needed depends on what type of Ants you have.

There has been a number of Threads regarding this subject and the steps needed to eliminate them. And based on that, it starts outside the house and then works inwards. The Chemical used is based on the specific Ants found.

Whether you can return your Parrots to a room that has been treated in less than 24 hours depends heavily on what the chemical make-up of that treatment is, the volume used and the how well the home has been vented.

So, first identify what type of Ant and then starting-out side and work inward!

I've always used bait traps for ants and kept Hahnzel away from them.
