Hi everyone! I just joined tonight, and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rachel, and I live in Kansas City, Missouri. I work for a Veterinary clinic as a veterinarian assistant. I am currently in school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

At the moment I have three birds: A cockatiel named Pete, a Budgie named Chipper, and a Zebra Finch named Phillip. On Saturday I will be taking in a Timneh African Grey named Kayla. I am both excited and anxious to see how it works out.

I also have a Canaan/ Elkhound mix dog named Maggie, and three cats: Alice, Minnow, and Earl.

I look forward to exploring the forums and talking with other bird people! :D

Welcome to the forum.. great people here.

You said you work at a Vets office.. Does the Vets there treat Birds? That would be great if they do..

Thank you all! The clinic I work at is not an Avian Vet unfortunately. However we have helped birds before, in fact we had one in today for a beak and nail trim. :) I would love to one day work for an Avian Vet though!

Don't worry, I too, am crazy for the birds! :09: I have one on my shoulder as I type this. :) I am a junkie for pictures as well :54: so I attached a picture of Chipper, Phillip, and Pete. :D

Beautiful birds...your Chipper looks like my senior citizen (16 next month ) parakeet, Sky. Was it Pete on your shoulder? I've never had a Tiel but I fostered one for a year and that was one happy and busy bird!
