Hi guys i am new to this forum.
I have a parrotlet called tiko he is roughly a year old, hes electron blue.
I have had him since he was a baby, he settled in my house very quickly and he learned step ups quickly too. I built a real decent relationship with him he got closer and closer everyday letting me kiss him etc. He would step up onto my finger in his cage and let me put my hand in there no problem and be really loving.
All of a sudden hes now very angry and very upset, when i put my hand in his cage he goes for me very nasty wise. hell of a bite on him and when he bites he means it! he screams very loud and goes to jump on my hand to bite me. when he is on the outside of his cage he is perfectly fine.
Could he be protecting his cage inside?
What can i do to put him back in a loving mood to be able to get him to step onto my finger in the cage without him being aggressive?
I know it takes a lot of time to get close to them as it took me a while in the year of having him.
Thanks
