Ok the title was a bit misleading :p

My little lovebug Cheddar doesnt go out of his cage for many reasons. One to start off is that he doesnt like being out btw. He jumps and runs dances etc all the time in his cage all day long and I was wondering if that was enough exercise to make up for not being out of his cage.

For all of you worried that he should go out he just hates it completely. You have no idea. Also I put a ladder in his cage so he can climb but he prefers bars :D . He also exercises his wings a few times a day.

I guess that would depend on how large his cage is and what his diet is. If he plays throughout the day I would imagine it should be enough and climbing around on the bars is a lot of work for a little guy.

What does he do when he is out that makes you say he hates it so much?

Well he flies back and will (lol not lying) will through a fit kinda and try to fly back and he has a 3ftx18inx20in cage and goes everywhere in it

How do you go about getting him about? Im sure once he learns its fun and safe out of his cage he will learn to love it!! Dont force him out, im sure if you just open his cage while your around and leave it open he will eventually get curious and pop out. you could offer his fav treat when he is out of his cage or near the door to start. You could also use target training to encourage him out and teach him how much fun out of cage time can be =D Little tiny steps.
